Who Owns Malik Times?

Malik Times is an independently operated digital news publication founded by Parvez Ali in 2023. It is registered as a newspaper and is an independent digital newspaper from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Parvez Ali built Malik Times with a clear mission: to deliver meaningful journalism focused on startups, technology, business, and innovation. The publication does not have investors or other forms of political support. All our choices here are rooted in that original commitment to remaining independent and to readers first.

Our Editorial Leadership

Malik Times has a professional editorial team that takes care of such things as stories selection and publishing standards. The team strives greatly to make sure that every content they post is of top journalistic quality.

Our editorial team consists of:

  • Hardhiyan Singh
  • Manoj Midha

This team is responsible for ensuring the editorial standards, content review, fact checking practices and the publishing quality amongst them. Their job is to make sure every story printed in Malik Times is true, fair, and valuable to readers. They help us do responsible reporting as they participate in all the editorial parts.

Editorial Independence Statement

This may be the most critical part of this page. Malik Times is fully independent in all reporting and publishing decisions.

We do not write about specific topics, or tell or frame stories in a way to please advertisers, sponsors, or business partners. All decisions on content are made on the basis of editorial judgment and reader appeal and in accordance with journalistic standards in making our editorial decisions. In spite of that, nothing ever changes in terms of any commercial relationships.

Advertising is not allowed to influence our newsroom priorities. Stories are not published if a sponsor wants us to. Editorial positions are not determined by who is advertising on our site. Our news is to our readers, not our paychecks.

You can say that we are deliberately protecting that distance between our business transaction and our writers. It is our readers’ confidence in us and we take that responsibility seriously.

Funding & Revenue Sources

There’s not much behind it to operate an independent digital publication. We are clear about our revenues and where they are derived from because you should know how we pay the light bill.

Malik Times can earn money with the following means:

The revenue we achieve on these platforms is used directly in our newsroom business and in our work for journalism. All the money we earn is reinvested in creating a more effective and capable publication for our readers.

No External Investor Funding

There is no investment from any outside investor in Malik Times. We have not borrowed funds from any source of funds such as venture capitalists, private equity firms or angel investors, or other sources.

This means that we have zero financial interest with an outside party in our publication. No investor can force us to alter our editorial style, modify our news priorities or sacrifice our journalistic standards. We forward our own independent decision making.

Malik Times is at present totally self run and self financed with income generated by its own activities.

To make it clear: none of our editorial decisions are affected by affiliate relationships. We don’t write good reviews or promote products merely because we have a business relationship with a company. Our editorial team reviews content independently and any affiliate links used in our content is secondary to our editorial judgment.

When a link on our website is affiliated, we make our position clear to help you understand where we stand.

Sponsored Content Transparency

Malik Times may post sponsored or partner articles from time to time. Once we do, it is clearly stated as such so you are always aware of the distinction between editorial reporting and promotion.

Sponsored content is generated from a brand or business partner. It can advertise the products, services, or opinions. Anyhow, it’s always kept separate from our independent editorial reporting. Sponsors are not permitted to manipulate our newsroom content or voice.

We think it’s important to let readers know when content is sponsored. That is for that reason we ensure that each and every part of our partner source material is appropriately identified, leaving no doubt.

Advertising Policy

Malik Times accepts ads as part of its business model. Advertisements are placed on our site to support our journalism and make content available to readers, free of charge.

However, the fact that our platform has advertising does not influence the editorial judgment of advertisers. News is not for sale, that means advertisers can’t ask for coverage, demand favourable stories or influence how we report the news. The newsroom is separate from the advertising group.

Some advertisers and their products or services are not suitable for us and therefore are not sent to our audience. Whether advertising with us or not, our integrity remains unstoppable.
