Disclaimer — MalikTimes

Last Updated: May 13, 2026 Effective From: May 8, 2026

There’s a lot of noise on the internet. Opinions dressed up as facts. Press releases repackaged as news. Sponsored narratives with no label in sight. We built MalikTimes because we were tired of that — and we think you probably are too.

But being honest about what we do also means being honest about what we don’t do, what we can’t guarantee, and where the lines are drawn. This Disclaimer page exists for exactly that reason. Read it not as legal boilerplate, but as a straight conversation about how we work.

1. Who We Are

MalikTimes (accessible at maliktimes.in) is an independent digital media publication focused on startup ecosystems, funding news, AI developments, entrepreneurship, and the business of technology — with a sharp eye on India and an ear to the ground globally.

We are not affiliated with any government body, regulatory authority, investment firm, or publicly listed company. We operate independently, and that independence is something we protect fiercely.

2. Editorial Disclaimer — The News We Publish

Every story on MalikTimes goes through an editorial process. We verify what we can, we source what we can’t verify directly, and we correct mistakes when they’re pointed out to us.

That said, a few things are important to understand:

We report on a fast-moving world. Startup valuations shift overnight. Funding rounds get restructured. Leadership changes happen without warning. By the time a story is published, circumstances may already be in motion. We update stories when significant developments occur, but we cannot guarantee that every piece reflects the situation at the exact moment you’re reading it.

We work with the information available to us. We are not insiders. We do not have access to board meeting minutes, cap tables, or private correspondence unless they are shared with us voluntarily or obtained through lawful reporting. Our stories are based on publicly available information, on-record statements, official filings, and interviews. Where we rely on sources who have requested anonymity, we say so.

We make mistakes. Every publication does. When we do, we fix them — with a correction note on the original article, not a quiet edit and a pretence that nothing happened. If you spot an error, reach us at editorial@maliktimes.in.

3. Not Financial or Investment Advice

Let’s be direct: nothing on MalikTimes should be used to make financial decisions.

When we cover a funding round, report on a startup’s growth numbers, or discuss market trends — we are doing journalism, not financial advisory. We are not SEBI-registered. We are not investment advisors. We do not hold a licence to provide financial guidance.

The coverage of a company on this platform — positive or otherwise — is not a recommendation to invest in it, partner with it, or do business with it. Startups fail. Markets turn. Numbers that looked strong in April can look very different by October.

Before making any financial, investment, or business decision, please consult a qualified professional who understands your specific circumstances.

4. Not Legal Advice

Similarly, nothing you read on MalikTimes constitutes legal advice. When we cover regulatory changes, court judgments, government policy, compliance requirements, or legal disputes — we’re explaining what’s happening, not telling you what to do about it.

Laws vary by jurisdiction, change frequently, and apply differently depending on individual circumstances. For any legal matter, please speak to a licensed legal professional.

5. External Links & Third-Party Websites

Our articles often link to external sources — company websites, official filings, research reports, news archives, government portals. These links are included to provide context and transparency, not as endorsements of the linked content.

We do not control external websites. We cannot vouch for their accuracy, security, privacy practices, or terms of service. Once you leave maliktimes.in, you’re subject to the policies of wherever you land.

If you come across a broken link or a source that has changed since we published a story, let us know.

6. Sponsored Content, Partnerships & Branded Stories

We publish branded and sponsored content from time to time. When we do, it is always clearly labelled — as “Sponsored,” “Partner Content,” or “Brand Feature.” There is no ambiguity, and there are no exceptions to this rule.

Sponsored content does not influence our independent editorial coverage. A company that advertises with us is not guaranteed — or entitled to — favourable reporting. Equally, a company that does not advertise with us receives the same standard of fair, factual reporting.

Our editorial team and our commercial team operate separately. If that line ever blurs, we’d rather lose the revenue than the trust.

7. Startup Submissions & Press Releases

MalikTimes accepts startup submissions, press releases, and founder pitches. Submitting information to us does not guarantee coverage, and coverage — if it happens — is always based on editorial merit, not on the act of submission itself.

When we publish information derived from a press release or a company-submitted pitch, we try to verify the key claims independently. However, companies are ultimately responsible for the accuracy of the information they share with us. We are not liable for errors or misrepresentations that originate from submitted materials.

8. Opinions, Analysis & Commentary

Some content on MalikTimes — clearly marked as Opinion, Analysis, or Commentary — reflects the personal views of the author. These views do not represent the official position of MalikTimes as an organisation.

We believe in publishing a range of perspectives, including ones we don’t personally agree with. Diverse viewpoints make journalism stronger. They also mean that an opinion piece on this platform is not a declaration of our institutional stance.

9. Accuracy of AI & Technology Coverage

Technology moves faster than language can keep up with. When we cover artificial intelligence, machine learning, or emerging tech — we make every effort to get the details right. But this is a field where terminology is often contested, benchmarks are often gamed, and today’s breakthrough is sometimes next quarter’s correction.

We do not validate the technical claims made by the companies we cover. We report what companies say, note what independent experts say in response, and leave the judgment to you.

10. Limitation of Liability

MalikTimes, its editorial team, contributors, and affiliated entities shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or consequence — financial or otherwise — arising from reliance on content published on this platform.

This includes but is not limited to: investment losses, business decisions, reputational impact, or any action taken on the basis of our reporting.

We provide information. What you do with it is your responsibility.

11. Intellectual Property

All original content published on maliktimes.in — including articles, analysis, photographs, graphics, and data visualisations — is the intellectual property of MalikTimes unless otherwise stated.

You are welcome to quote our reporting with proper attribution and a link to the original article. Reproducing our content in full, reselling it, or republishing it without written permission is not permitted.

For syndication requests, licensing, or reprint permissions, write to us at partnerships@maliktimes.in.

12. Changes to This Disclaimer

The world changes. Our coverage evolves. This Disclaimer may be updated to reflect new editorial practices, legal requirements, or changes in how we operate. When significant changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

We recommend checking back periodically if you engage with our content regularly.

13. Contact Us

We are not hard to reach. If you have a correction to flag, a concern to raise, a partnership to discuss, or just a question about how we do things — drop us a line.
